Shay serves as President of CapX Construction, leading operations, client relationships, and overall project execution.

She is involved from initial client engagement through project completion, ensuring strong communication, accountability, and consistency across each project.

Shay began her career in construction in 2014 within her family’s general contracting business, gaining experience across multifamily, senior living, hospitality, life science, and interior fit-out projects throughout the Northeast. She focuses on partnering with ownership groups on capital improvement and value-add renovation projects that enhance asset value and overall user experience.

Matthew Mello

Regional Project Manager, Operations

Matthew serves as Regional Project Manager of Operations at CapX Construction, overseeing active projects and day-to-day operations.

He is involved across all phases of project execution—coordinating teams, managing schedules, and ensuring work is delivered efficiently and to a high standard. He plays a key role in aligning field operations, subcontractors, and internal processes to drive consistency and accountability.

With a background in systems and process management, Matthew brings a structured, solutions-oriented approach focused on improving workflows and supporting continued growth.
